The Movember Raffle

We hope to raise substantial funds for the Movember charity via the sale of raffle tickets throughout the whole of Movember.

Tickets will be on sale, within the pub, from 1st Movember at just £1 each or £3 for a strip of 5

We've teamed up with some generous, local businesses to get you indisputably fantastic prizes.

To show your respect for their support, please like them on facebook where possible, share their links and spread the word. These businesses' cards are also around the pub and we encourage you to take one for yourself and any friends who may be interested in their services. We vouch for the skill and integrity of all donors.

All proceeds to Movember UK. (Our registration number: 6591185)

Artist, Mark Gittens, of BonTon Tattoo on Greenway Road is offering two hours of his talent, ink and skill to award a very lucky winner, a free tattoo. How cool is that?! (The winner can add to that if they want something that will take longer, though you can get some seriously good work done in that time.) BonTon Tattoo is highly recommended far and wide. From one independent site; "just had my third tattoo done at BonTon in Runcorn  - they are by far the best".  Check them out on facebook.

The physiotherapist of PremierPhysio on Church Street has kindly donated 2 x 30 minute sessions of physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, exercise prescription and advice. This would be a wonderful win if you're struggling with any physical problem that needs a holistic approach. Find PremierPhysio on facebook and see their website for information regarding their services.

Aqua Hand Car Wash on Halton Brow will ensure you wont recognise your car after they give it a full day's labour and a full, inside and out valet. (If you can't spare your car for a full day, they'll do what they can in the time you have and have done a great job of our staff's cars in just an hour.)

Steven Ledsham of Halton Home Chiropody / Podiatry will provide a podiatry assessment and treatment session in your own home. Steven has kept several of our staff on their feet and we applaud his careful skill. If you have any foot issues, this is a great prize as he can advise on more serious issues, eliminate pain on the spot or just optimise comfort in your shoes. Like Halton Home Chiropody / Podiatry on facebook here.

Free, family ticket for entry to the museum & grounds of Norton Priory. Norton Priory is an enchanting site, at any time of year. This prize will make for a lovely day out. See their website for opening hours or look at how others have enjoyed their visit on facebook

The reputable mechanics of Scottspec Autos, off Halton Road will provide another, tremendously lucky winner a full service and winter check to save you a considerable few bob when your car's due this winter. (Valid for three months.) What an excellent and generous prize that any motorist would be delighted with.

Jake Alexander Hairdressers on Church Street have donated a lady's or gent's cut and finish at perhaps, the most sophisticated hair salon in town.  Find them on facebook and visit their website.

ABC taxis (Tel. 577777) are offering a winner and their party a free ride home from The Norton, to up to two addresses within Runcorn. This may be taken any day (except New Year's Eve) up until January.

The only prize which transcends the Runcorn boundary. If you've ever had a steak or a Sunday roast at The Norton, you'll know why we approached Coward's of Frodsham, the best butcher's around. They have donated a £20 voucher to be spent on anything they offer, be that a splendid Sunday joint for a large family or a combination of smaller meals. Sue Coward's famous pies always go down a storm on our buffets and are well worth the drive to Frodsham. Alternatively, you may order through The Norton. See the range of produce available on Coward's webiste and read the great reviews they have on facebook

Mr & Mrs Chan of The Dolphin Super Bar on Halton Road will prepare the winner making this choice, a tasty, Chinese take away - set meal for 2. They truly are one of the best Chinese / Fish and Chip super outlets in Runcorn.

The Curiosity Bookshop on the High Street has donated a copy of "Runcorn, A Town Not so New" which is a fascinating, pictorial collection of old photos put together, with commentary, by H.F. Starkey

This prize will be accompanied by a £10 National Book Token donated by The Norton Arms, which may be spent at any book shop.

Of course, The Norton Arms is also providing a more substantial prize; a two course meal for two, with a bottle of wine (or a couple of pints), that a lucky raffle winner can take at any time our kitchen is open.

The draw will take place at The Mo Party on Saturday 30th Movember

Winners may choose their prize in consecutive order of tickets drawn; first out of the hat gets to choose from all prizes, second out gets to choose from those remaining.....

It would be in your interests to be present at the draw in order to optimise choice. However, this is by no means necessary to securing one of these cracking prizes. We will contact all winners who are not at the pub on the night of the draw, simultaneously detailing remaining prizes.
